Heartbreaking story

I read an article earlier today which was really catchy. And here's the link:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2509013/Mother-gave-away-THREE-babies-strangers-siblings-reunited-60-years.html

It's basically about three siblings who were given away when they were babies, and after 60 years they were reunited.
At first I thought these siblings were triplets, but they weren't. They were born within 17 months of each other. To boys and one girl. They also have two other siblings, two sisters. The oldest sister was six years when the first of the given away babies was born, and eleven when her mother gave away the last baby. She now refuses to have anything to do with her "new" siblings, and she doesn't want to give them any information about their birthmother at all. But with their other sister they now have contact, and she has told them a little bit, including that her maiden name was Rosemary Redmaine and that she was married twice. They never got the chance to meet Rosemary, and they don't know if they have the same father, but to me it seems like they are just happy finding each other after so long.

Her's a picture of the siblings now. They seem really happy.<3

Initially this article caught my interest because I wanted to find out how a mother could just give away her children, I thought maybe she was cash strapped. Actually the article didn't give the answer to that, but still it was an interesting and kind of heartbreaking story.

Letter to Rita
I'm happy on your behalf ! I know it wasn't easy for you to find your brothers and sisters and it requires courage to do that. It's a quite sad story, but it helps that it ends well. I admire you for all you did and all the time you spent trying to find your siblings. You should be grateful that you have been raised in a good family with parents who loved you. I hope you thrive with your "new" family.
Kind regards, Mathilde
